This data is not combined with data from other sources and is processed solely to ensure the functionality, stability, and security of the website. It is automatically deleted after a short retention period.
4. Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, the data shown in the comments form is collected, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/
After approval of your comment, your profile picture (if any) becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.
5. Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from such images.
6. Cookies
This website uses only cookies necessary for its operation.
If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to re-enter your details when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, several cookies are set to save your login information and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, screen option cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. When you log out, login cookies are removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you edited; it expires after one day.
7. Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website directly. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content (including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website). If you prefer not to be tracked, you can disable cookies in your browser before viewing embedded media.
8. Contact Form and Email
If you contact me via a form or email, your details (including the contact data you provide) will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and in case of follow-up questions. This data is not shared without your consent.
9. Who We Share Your Data With
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
10. How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows recognition and approval of follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on the website (if any), the personal information they provide in their profile is stored. Users can see, edit, or delete their information at any time (except username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
11. Your Rights
